How to apply for Online Security Clearance Service in Bhutan

Process to apply for online Security Clearance Service in Bhutan and also to renew your Security Clearance

Security Clearance is provided by Royal Bhutan Police. It is required for three purposes; 1. General 2. Election 3. Arms License. Here is a simple process to apply for Security Clearance Service which you can complete within 1 to 2 minutes.

1. Visit Security Clearance System from here
2. Fill in your Citizenship Identity Card and Date of Birth and get verified
3. After verification, fill in your email ID
4. Choose purpose and the captcha security code displayed
5. Press the Apply button to submit your application
6. After applying, the status can be tracked by clicking on the [Track Application]
  menu and entering Citizenship Identity Card number.
7. If the application is approved, the applicant need not download and print the
  certificate. The applicant can proceed to the concerned agency where the certificate
  will be downloaded, and printed only for official record.
8. The Certificate is valid for 1 Year. The applicants can start to renew their Security
  Clearance Certificate, 7 days before the expiry of validity date. For example, if the expiry date is on 30th December, 2021, renewal can be done from 23rd December, 2021.

10. If any applicants require hard copy of the Security Clearance Certificate, the applicants may approach to the Bureau of Law and Order, MoHCA.
Your application usually gets approved within 1 to 2 days but it might take longer if your application coincides with weekends or government holidays.
